The venue is located in the Russian Compound (Migrash Harussim) next to the Municipality Complex in downtown Jerusalem. Free car parking is available in the parking lot behind the Russian Orthodox church.

The building was built in 1858, and served as a Russian pilgrims’ hospice
for women. During the British mandate in Palestine (1918-1948), the building
was used as the central prison. Apart from criminal prisoners, hundreds of
Jewish underground fighters were imprisoned there, members of Haganah, Irgun
and Lechi (the Stern Group).
